Beautiful hotel, with a lot of choices of pools and areas to relax. The gym was well equipped and spacious. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The spa had a good choice of treatments. The breakfast was exceptional and we were impressed with the choices. The staff were super attentive and friendly. The hotel was in a good location, plenty of restaurants nearby and short walk to the old town.

All of the staff at the hotel were really helpful and polite. The food in the hotel is lovely we ate in one of the restaurants and got room service. The hotel was clean throughout and had nice bar areas. The location was brilliant for walking to all areas of Funchal and there are also bus stops and a couple shops for basics right outside the hotel.

The hotel and rooms were beautiful, spacious, and clean, with an amazing view. Breakfast was delicious and varied. One of the highlights was the concierge team—special thanks to John and Bruno—who helped us plan our trips for three days and even arranged a rental car at a great rate.

This was our 2nd stay at Savoy Palace and we love this hotel for the following reasons: Superb customer service, amazing room, good location and exceptional pools/facilities. Right when we arrive, the concierge was very welcoming and directed us how/where to park our rental car (considering we haven't checked-in yet). He provided a temporary key card to the parking garage. Front desk staff was also welcoming and accommodating. She answered some of my questions such as nearest church and activities happening at the city center.

Great experience! We've been celebrating our anniversary during the stay and the hotel sent us very nice gifts - even twice! (once on the day before our anniversary and once on the anniversary day). Excellent breakfast - both taste and choice! We travel a lot, but unfortunately it doesn't happen often, that e.g. the fruits are so tasty as here. The cook passed also the test of a soft boiled egg ;-) In many hotels it seems impossible for the cooks to prepare the egg so that the yolk is fluid and white is cooked - but here he succeeded! The room was spacy and clean, the bathroom as well. Comfortable bed. It was very quiet at night - we could get some good sleep. Very nice and competent staff; very quick check-in and check-out. Nice view from the balcony! Comfortable sunbeds at the swimming pool. There's also a possibility to swim in the ocean - you just need to go to the sister-hotel area (the same company). There are a couple of good lunch/dinner restaurants on the hotel area as well!

This is a beautiful property. Quite extravagant and expansive. The pool area is beautiful and the brunch was excellent. The views are superb if you get an ocean room. Gym is open 24 hours. Most of the staff are very friendly and professional. Coffee and water replenish daily in your room.
